September ‘24 astro-weather

The ninth month begins with a key event: the New Moon on September 3rd. This New Moon is in the sign of Virgo, specifically at 11° Virgo. This is an ideal opportunity to set objective goals in life, make plans on how to achieve them, organize our time, and hopefully be pragmatic. It is also a great time to think about health—perhaps create a fitness program or check the state of your body.

On the day of the New Moon in Virgo, there is also a square aspect between Mars and Neptune. The Mars-Neptune square warns us not to rush into decisions and judgments based on first impressions or appearances. There will be certain things that elude our perception. However, the Mars-Neptune square is ideal for focusing on creative activities during this period. Mistakes can sometimes be a blessing, so it's fine to make mistakes during this time as they can lead to positive outcomes. Still, it’s important to double-check everything we do during this period. This Mars-Neptune square marks the New Moon, so in the upcoming month, we can expect various forms of deception and hidden activities in the world. Things might be presented as something they are not. Moreover, tendencies towards the abuse of addictive substances may appear, and feeling of melancholy may be present.

On September 1st, Uranus and Pluto begin their retrograde motion. Uranus will be retrograde in Taurus until January 31, 2025. During this time, financial resources may go out of control. It is a good idea to save some money by the end of the year as unexpected expenses may arise. Additionally, retrograde Uranus in Taurus can bring changes in values and attitudes. It would be beneficial to allow others to have different opinions during this period.

Pluto, in retrograde, enters Capricorn. This will be its last time in Capricorn before it moves definitively into Aquarius. Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008, bringing changes related to plutocracy, state power, and the reduction of human rights. Over the next nearly two decades, Pluto will reside in Aquarius, and we will witness many changes in the world, possibly related to the use of modern technology.

On September 4th, 2024, Mars will enter the sign of Cancer. During Mars’s stay in Cancer, it’s important to be tolerant at home and with people we are emotionally connected with. Tensions may arise within the family. It is best to allow others to have their space while Mars is in Cancer. This placement can also be very motivating for starting home-based projects. Mars is in its fall in Cancer, so personal frustrations and dissatisfaction may occur. The best way to express this pent-up anger is through sports, exercise, and targeted activities.

Continuing, another significant event in September is the square between Mercury and Uranus on September 7th. With Uranus at 27° 31’ Aquarius and Mercury at 27° 31’ Leo, this square can be surprising and may bring shocking news globally. On a personal level, it often leads to intense and unexpected communications. People might try to handle too many conversations at once, which is challenging. Mercury-Uranus aspects can cause disagreements and diverse opinions. It is beneficial to change your approach and thinking during this period. The Mercury-Uranus square is ideal for brainstorming and dynamically creating new strategies by exploring different possibilities.

The next significant event is the opposition between the Sun and Saturn. After the Mercury-Uranus square, the Sun will oppose Saturn on September 8th. This opposition may cause us to make hasty decisions, be overly eccentric, or overlook certain things, leading to obstacles. When the Sun in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces, it often feels like cold water is poured over us, waking us up to reality in an unpleasant way. If we encounter blockages, delays, or criticism, we should accept it as information and gain wisdom through these experiences. The opposition of the Sun and Saturn is not an ideal time to start major new projects; it is better to finish what we have started and proceed slowly and persistently.

On September 9th, after exiting the square with Uranus, Mercury will enter Virgo. Mercury in Virgo, its domicile sign, will be highly efficient and analytical. This is a period where we should start new useful habits, plan, record, and simplify things.

On September 12th, the Sun in Virgo will form a square with Jupiter. This aspect can accelerate things after the slowdown caused by the Sun-Saturn opposition. Life becomes more dynamic and colorful, but there is a risk of inflated ego. People may overestimate their capabilities. During this period, it is important to maintain humility and avoid making promises you cannot keep. While the Sun-Jupiter square can make us feel powerful, we need to stay grounded and realistic about our true capabilities.

The next significant event is an eclipse. On September 18, 2024, there will be a Supermoon and partial lunar eclipse. This eclipse is preceded by a trine between Venus and Jupiter on September 15, although its effect may be felt days before and days after September 15. With Venus in Libra and Jupiter in Gemini, this trine is a beautiful aspect that brings positivity and good faith. It is a period when you can truly believe that anything is possible and that the world is a beautiful place. It is a great time for couples to deepen their relationships and strengthen their bonds. When interacting with people, expect the best and see the positive aspects in everyone you meet.

The lunar eclipse on September 18, which is in conjunction with Neptune, is particularly significant. The eclipse in Pisces, together with Neptune, is set to influence the next six months. This Pisces eclipse greatly enhances imagination, which can sometimes exceed boundaries. Positively, this period allows for magical experiences and important coincidences. Very important things can happen in a seemingly random way. This eclipse is excellent for music, art, poetry, and dance. On a global level, it may bring messages of peace and humanitarian desires for a better world. However, with Mercury in opposition to Saturn, there could be communication problems. To manage this, simplify your message but pay attention to details. Ensure that others understand you clearly and provide explanations. On a global scale, this eclipse could bring about humanitarian efforts to prevent ongoing wars, but it might also spread misunderstandings about current events.

The eclipse is on the star Markab, which means "saddle" and is part of the Pegasus constellation. Markab is associated with wounds and has the nature of Mars and Mercury. Traditionally, in conjunction with malefics, Markab can signify dangers from fire, explosives, or weapons. However, it can also bring intellectual alertness and broad knowledge. We might expect humanitarian attempts to prevent ongoing conflicts, but also potential spread of misconceptions about what is happening.

On September 19, there is a positive aspect as the Sun forms a trine with Uranus. This aspect encourages stepping into new territories and trying to achieve our goals in innovative ways. The Sun-Uranus trine can bring sudden insights or "eureka" moments. However, during this trine, we need to be careful not to go beyond reasonable limits, as the trine can create a sense of complete freedom that might lead us to overlook existing constraints. The trine of Venus and Jupiter will still be felt, so optimism can be over the roof. Use those aspects smartly, as if you don’t, once they wear off, you might get disappointed if you haven’t done anything on time.

On September 22, the Sun enters Libra, marking the beginning of autumn. The chart for the start of autumn reveals a unique configuration, including a grand trine with the Sun, Pluto, Uranus, and the Moon. Additionally, there is an opposition between the Sun and Neptune. This unique situation involves all three collective or transcendental planets—Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto—forming a configuration with the Sun and the Moon. This period may inspire societal changes and positive dedication among people. However, the opposition to Neptune poses challenges. The Moon in this chart is on the star Alcyone, which is part of the Pleiades. This star, known for navigation in ancient Greece, represents ambition and achieving honor. If well connected with other planets, it indicates ambition and glory, but if poorly aspected, it may be linked to injuries or regret. The autumnal equinox could bring unexpected events that may lead to regret or humanitarian efforts to change things.

On the same day, Venus will enter Scorpio, where it will remain until October 17. Venus in Scorpio will intensify relationships, potentially bringing crises or toxic situations that might need to end but may not be easily resolved. However, this period also offers the opportunity for transformation in relationships. Venus’s entry into Scorpio will be accompanied by a square with Pluto, bringing intense emotional experiences.

Before Venus moves into Scorpio and autumn begins, on the day before, Mercury will form a square with Jupiter, which could lead to communication issues. The Mercury-Jupiter square may result in overpromising or saying too much, while the opposition between Mercury and Saturn may lead to misunderstandings or silence. This period might also see exaggerated promises or communication missteps.

Finally, Mercury will enter Libra on September 26, forming a trine with Pluto. This period from September 24 to 29 will be significant for Mercury, with various aspects enhancing communication. The trine with Uranus will bring innovative ideas and strengthen intuition. However, the opposition to Neptune could make decision-making challenging. When there is a Mercury-Neptune opposition in the sky, checking everything at least twice, even three times, is a good decision. People may be very non-objective, and can be prone to nagging.

September 25, the trine with Pluto provides a good opportunity to persuade others and to finalize decisions confidently. It is a very good period to move others to accept your opinions, to convince them of something.

Finally, September 29, Mercury will meet the Sun in the sign of Libra, forming a conjunction. And that is the right moment to make final decisions. It's the right moment to be sure of your decisions, but also to question what you're doing, to buy/gather information, to research before making a final decision.

And finally, we also have a Mars-Saturn trine on September 29 in water signs. Any constructive harmonious aspect of Mars and Saturn always tells us that time is on our side. So, in whatever you do, simply be patient, and persevere. The trine of Mars and Saturn is the ideal period to do the work that needs to be done, to do your duties, to do what you wanted. Also, the trine of Mars and Saturn is good for taking some calculated, but well planned and well timed, risks.
