Venus activation - first half of ‘25
Venus is undoubtedly one of key figures in the transformative energies of 2025.
Until now, we have primarily worked with the yin aspect—the feminine energy. We’ve seen a surge on social media about embodying feminine energy, with everyone stepping into the roles of elevated goddesses and high priestesses. But in 2025, and continuing into 2026, we are shifting focus to yang energy.
So far, we’ve been adjusting, attempting to find balance in relationships or circumstances, which is perfectly fine—up to a point. Now, however, the time has come for a fresh start, a new chapter. Venus offers us this opportunity.
On January 3rd, Venus enters Pisces, and soon after, she will form a trine with Mars, who enters Cancer on January 6th. This alignment between Venus and Mars is one of passion, creativity, and attraction, and generally is considered a good thing. However, the story takes an intriguing turn: on February 4th, Venus moves into Aries while Mars remains in Cancer. Both planets are in positions of weak dignity, and by late February, they will square each other intensely. This creates a push-pull dynamic where Venus and Mars are undeniably drawn to each other, yet the differences between them prove to be deeply frustrating. This tension can bring conflicts to the surface, highlighting the clash between personal desires and the needs of the relationship.
It’s as if Venus steps ahead as a scout, exploring what lies beyond her bond with Mars. Initially, their trine in water signs offers harmony, but this idyll won't last. Venus has a change of heart. Just as Mars completes his retrograde and seems ready to move forward with her, Venus herself turns retrograde on March 2nd at 10° Aries. She retraces her steps, moving back into Pisces until April 13th, where she halts at 24°.
This retrograde is a powerful moment for introspection, especially because Venus is not retrograde often. In her retrograde motion, she invites us to revisit unresolved themes related to self-worth, love, our beauty and the ways we value ourselves. Upon entering Aries, Venus realizes she isn’t quite ready yet—there’s unfinished business to address in relationships, values, self-worth, aesthetics, and ultimately, faith. Who does she love? Who does she allow to come close? Is she truly content with her self-image, her resources, and her belief in herself? Venus retrograde invites us to confront lingering emotional patterns and unresolved inner work. It’s a powerful opportunity to realign with the deepest layers of our psyche.
When Venus stations direct on April 13th, she emerges renewed, saying, "I’ve made the changes within. I’ve found my strength. Now, I’m ready for the new." What’s fascinating is that Venus will form a trine with Mars again—but this time, both planets will move very slowly, lingering in their alignment. Venus will be in the third decan of Pisces, while Mars resides in the third decan of Cancer. This extended trine signifies deep, enduring harmony—a state achievable only after we’ve resolved our inner conflicts, reconciled with ourselves, and learned to love ourselves as deeply as we love others.
Additionally, as Venus moves to Pisces for the second time (March 27th), she conjoins the North Node and Saturn and forms a sextile with Uranus—signals of new energy, freedom, and fresh beginnings, but this time based on realistic expectations of herself and others. Now she is ready to embrace expansive and meaningful connections. But this isn’t just about partnerships—it’s also about her relationship with herself, her sense of beauty, and her intrinsic worth, especially once she enters the realm of Aries again.
Use this retrograde period over the coming months wisely. Don’t rush. Reflect. Revisit your values and desires. Ask yourself:
Where am I holding onto old patterns that no longer serve me?
How can I nurture my sense of worth and beauty from within?
What actions align with the love and relationships I truly want to create?
Include the above-mentioned symbolism and questions to your daily practice/rituals/magic/ceremonies/shadow-work, or whichever method of healing you prefer. When Venus moves forward, you’ll be ready—not just for new relationships but for a fresh and healthier dynamic with yourself and the world around you. Take your time to realign, and prepare for the extraordinary beginnings waiting ahead. This as a chance for an activation, an act of embodiment of what you want to become in a sense of your aesthetics, values, self-worth, enjoyment in your own life…
